SOVEREIGNTY

  • Complete political Freedom

  • Free to choose or determine without any

  • External interference

  • Essence of a nation

  • Government is duty bound to defend it

  • Citizen’s responsibility too.


SOCIALISM


  • Mooted to eliminate all social, political and economic equality 

  • It was made to suit to Indian needs

  • To prevent exploitation

  • To prevent concentration of power, wealth,one hand adopted a mixed Economy.


SECULARISM


  • Home do almost all major religions making sure the country is led by religion and religion values

  • Allows people to practice, protess, preach any religion prohibits discrimination


DEMOCRACY


  • Adopted parliamentary democracy to form a stable government

  • Government derives its authority from the will of people

  • Universal adult franchise

  • Election are held for the sake of people’s approval of governments

  • No discrimination, allows dissent.

  • Rules by persuasion, Not coercion

  • Freedom, Independent, Judiciary, Fair elections. 


REPUBLIC


  • Political Equality is preDominant

  • Hereditary rule is disvalued

  • Prefers to remain republic as opposed to monarchy

JUSTICE


  • Independent Judiciary

  • Political problems will not solve the socio-economic problems

  • Number of practical measures and provisions have been incorporated to take care of the weak.

LIBERTY


  • Freedom has been ensured through Fundamental rights

  • Democracy was sustainable with minimum rights Tolerance


EQUALITY


  • Citizen of India is entitled to equality before law

  • Break the chains of social inequality

  • Equality of status and opportunity for all round development

  • Political Equality is given but not in all substantiates democracy and Justice.


FRATERNITY


  • Stands for the spirit of common brotherhood

  • Promoting harmony despite differences

  • Abolishing communal, sectional, or provincial anti-social feelings.


DIGNITY


  • Fraternity and Dignity have a close link

  • Dignity of each and every individual has to be secured and promoted

  • Supreme importance was given to it 

  • Ensuring the development of all sections of people irrespective of any differences.


UNITY AND INTEGRITY


  • Essential to maintain Independence

  • Fostering unity among the citizens

  • Puty of every citizen.


INTERNATIONAL PEACE


  • To promote International peace and security, Just and honourable

  • Embracing the concept of universal brotherhood

  • India has been making regular bid for UNSC


FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES


  • Not Enforceable by nature but reflects basic values

  • Promoter nationalism, discipline etc.
